Welcome to the Clay County Clerk of the Circuit Court Electronic Case Filing [E-Filing] information page. [Give some information on when this started, what cases can be filed, etc.]
Please take a few minutes to explore the E-Filing information found on this page.
Note: at the moment, e-filing is only available for attorneys in good standing with the Florida Bar. At some stage in the future, we may make e-filing available for pro se (that is, individuals representing themselves) clients; but at the moment this is not available. If you are a third party who would normally file documents on a case, but not on behalf of any particular client on that case (such as a mediator), contact the Court on (904) 284-6302 extension 2128 to make arrangements for special access.
Any attorney that has cases in Clay County is able to use our e-filing system. Registration is simple and free; and can be completed on line from the main e-filing page. There is also an online tutorial that can help step you through the registration process. If there are multiple attorneys in your firm, each attorney will require their own e-filing account; since the attorney that belongs to an account is identified by their bar nubmer, which ties them to the case they are filing for in our case management system. If you are a paralegal or an assistant who will be doing the actual e-filing for the attorney, you do not need your own account; rather, you need to use the attorney's account.
If you wish to set up an Escrow account for payment of filing fees, complete an Escrow Account Application form, and submit that to the Court, along with your initial account payment. If you wish to authorize additional users to have access to your escrow account, complete an Escrow Account Additional Users form, and submit that to the court. Note that you can type in the required information for both of these forms while you are viewing the form with Acrobat Reader before you print it out.
A number of tutorials have been developed demonstrating several common tasks and activities in the e-filing system. These are explained in greater detail on the FAQ Tutorials page.
