August is Child Support Awareness Month. Our personnel play a significant role in the lives of children throughout the state who depend on child support by facilitating payments, maintaining records, and providing accountability.
We have two main, full-time child support clerks who work very closely with the Department of Revenue (DOR). Their duties include the auditing of child support cases (both for DOR and upon request from a case party), processing all orders received from the Court, cashiering payments through the state-wide system eClerc, and the handling of alimony payments. Additionally, our clerks accept transfer cases from other states and from other Florida counties, too.
