xcited that it is time for the Clay County Fair again. While there (April 2nd – April 12th), please swing by our new exhibit in the Expo Building (back right corner behind art contest area) where you’ll find our Historical Archives Division’s answer to the question, “What was going on here in 1776?” As it turns out, a lot!
Its our way of celebrating our nation’s 250th Birthday! We have lots of red, white, and blue freebies for the kiddos….you can even add your “John Hancock” to the Declaration of Independence at our booth and pick up a free pocket-sized US Constitution, too.
Have fun at the Fair, Clay County! We hope to see you there as we continue our efforts to preserve and protect Clay County history through our Historical Archives Division’s research and through our whole office’s community outreach efforts.
