August is Child Support Awareness Month

August is Child Support Awareness Month.  Our personnel play a significant role in the lives of children throughout the state who depend on child support by facilitating payments, maintaining records, and providing accountability.

We have two main, full-time child support clerks who work very closely with the Department of Revenue (DOR).   Their duties include the auditing of child support cases (both for DOR and upon request from a case party), processing all orders received from the Court, cashiering payments through the state-wide system eClerc, and the handling of alimony payments.  Additionally, our clerks accept transfer cases from other states and from other Florida counties, too.  Our branch location staff in Orange Park also process child support payments making the service even more accessible.  “The work accomplished in this Clerk’s Office division is mighty and all these clerks do a fantastic job,” explained Tracie McRae, Clay County Clerk’s Office Chief Operations Officer.  For more information about these important services, please review this website page:  Child Support
