Reading Room & Books for Sale

The Clay County Archives maintains an Archives Reading Room with several hundred books and binders related to the history of Clay County. They are available for reading at the Archives at no charge. The collection includes biographies, diaries, histories of war, church histories, family histories, African-American history, and copies of rare materials from other archives and libraries.

Books for Sale

The Clay County Archives offers several books for sale at the Archives Reading Room or by mail. The proceeds are used to support curation activities and educational outreach programs in our community. We encourage you to visit Archives M-F, 8am-5pm to purchase books, or, call Archives at (904) 371-0027 to arrange for payment and delivery by mail. Payment accepted in cash and check (made out to Archives Inc.)
